Torch Technologies, is seeking a mid-level 3D Artist to join a talented team building a high-profile immersive virtual trainer for the department of defense. Candidates will use cutting-edge hardware and software to build prototypes and projects that evaluate new trends and technologies in the gaming industry. Work done by this team feeds into new and existing products in development at Torch. The candidate will:
Collaborate with fellow developers, artists, and subject matter experts to develop to top tier training products for military and commercial customers
Create, design, and implement high quality 3D assets
Create highly detailed and realistic textures & materials
Follow best practices of content creation processes and ensure that art assets are performant
Conduct peer reviews and provide detailed documentation
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or 4+ years of related experience.
Portfolio of highly detailed 3D art work with a focus on environments and variety of subject matter (buildings, props, natural landscapes, etc.) Portfolio should show the ability to hit a photorealistic/believable look.
Experience in Substance Designer/Painter, 3DS Max
Able to take on challenging technical art tasks
Knowledge of cutting-edge content creation pipelines
Experience creating asset within a Physically Based Shading and Lighting model
Experience working with Unreal 4 game engine or equivalent engine
Possess a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage time efficiently
Must be autonomous while working on set tasks from the schedule
Highly organized with excellent spoken and written communication skills
